Timber floor and timber floor joists, (450mm spacings) with 10mm standard core plasterboard ceiling and 90mm Pink Batts Silencer fitted between the joists. QuietFloor 41 provides effective low level noise control from upstairs. The addition of carpet to the floor is beneficial in reducing impact noise, such as foot steps. This provides a value of RW = 41 and RW + CTR = 37.
